About Janma Nakshatra Shanti
What is Janma Nakshatra Shanti?
Janma Nakshatra Shanti is a pooja to the deity of one’s birth star, done on the birth nakshatra day for health, peace and success, especially when the nakshatra is afflicted in the dasha or transit.
Each of the 27 nakshatras has a ruling deity (Ashwini — Ashwini Kumaras, Rohini — Brahma, Pushya — Brihaspati and so on). Worship of that deity on the birth star strengthens it.
