A sacred calendar
Tradition places the great stories within the yugas: the Ramayana in Treta Yuga, the Mahabharata at the end of Dvapara, and our present in Kali Yuga, traditionally counted from 3102 BCE. These are sacred placements — Stuti Mandir labels them "traditional" and keeps them apart from archaeological dates.
