About Griha Pravesh Pooja
About this puja
Gruhapravesha is how a family first enters a new home: on a muhurta, carrying a kalasha and a lamp, with Ganapati, Vastu and Navagraha puja and a homa, so life in the house begins with blessings.
Milk is boiled until it overflows — a sign of plenty — and Vastu Purusha and the nine grahas are asked to bless the home. Many families add Satyanarayana puja the same evening.
